My friend Brittany is so cool! She is really good at cheer leading. She is on the 8th grade cheer squad and she is co-captain. Brittany was also on the 7th grade cheer squad last year. She is a really good friend and was always there if anyone needed her. She sits a row and two desks away from me in technology. I only have this class with her this semester. Next semester I will have Family and Consumer Science with her, which is like cooking and sewing. She s wearing 2 bobby pins with a black bow with gold sequences and her cheer uniform. Well that's about all on my friend  Brittany!!!

1st Thanksgiving...

For my first Thanksgiving as a host, I had bought the biggest turkey the store had.  When I got home I started cooking the turkey. About 20 minutes into the cooking of the turkey I hear popping. I looked at the oven and my turkey was going to explode. I hurried and got the turkey out of the oven and I forgot to take the plastic off the turkey. So I took it off and recooked the turkey. Once the turkey was done I took it out and put it on a platter and made it look nice. Then the guests arrived and one of them brought their dog. As doon as the dog got there it went buzurk and he went straight for the turkey and desserts we had made. We all looked at each other and yelled no at the same time. The the dog dove onto the table of foods and everything flew up in the air. The feast was ruined. I was so mad at the dog and its owners.I just wanted to scream and yell at the people and dog.  And thats why we all ate hamburgers.

I Deserve a Day off of Schoool

I deserve a day off of school because I am so cool. Okay, so I believe that students should have so many days when they are tired they can just stay home. But, I deserve a day off because we have school 5 days a week. It gets really boring here. I'm glad we get to have 3 days off this week plus the weekend. So a total of 5 days off school. That is just like 1 week at school. And we should also have more days to finish certain projects or homework. Because somedays we have homework and we have to go see family or a funeral and the next day we get a hot sheet because our homework is not finished on time. But, normally I finish my homework at school.  Plus we will not have basketball practice on days we are off.

Video Game Addicts

People are "addicted" to video-gaming.  People tend to throw around the word "addiction". Like, "Shes addicted to Twitter" or, "He is addicted to food."  People just love the joy of playing online games with friends.  Nearly 1 in 10 youth gamers are completely addicted.  Video games can  harm the way you function. It could hurt your eyes, and kill your brain cells. It is okay to play maybe an hour then go eat or go outside then come back. But, there are people out there whos lives are dedicated to their xbox 360, psp, or even play station 3.  Parents need to enforce their kids or family to find a new hobby and make video gaming the side hobby. There are just so many new games out right now like Call of Duty Black Ops II, Assasains Creed III, Madden Football 2013, and even just the old Minecraft. Set up a timer to where you play 1hr 30 min then go eat and get away from gaming for a good 1 hour.  Most parents think if the kids are playing video games then fine, the kid is not bugging me. So, they just let them keep on playing all night for 5 hours.  Well take this advice and help yourself out.  You can get more information here.

Cairo, Illinois

Next Tuesday the 20th we are playing Cairo for our first basketball game.  We have been learning our offense and transistion plays. We have had practice everyday of the week plus Saturday. Saturdays we have practice from 10-12 and week days we have practice from 3-5. But today there is a band concert in the gymm so we have to do our homework in the cafeteria then when we are all ready we will walk to the other school. Today we will decide what defense we will use against them. Last year we played man-to-man and we went undefeated and won the district championship! We are hoping we could keep the title all the way through highschool. In 7th grade when we won, the coach got to move up with us. Now, she coaches us again, which is awesome because we are already used to her and how we run practices. Well wish us luck!!

Lily is a beast!!!!

My friend Lily is sitting right next to me! She is typing about me while I type about her. She is really good at cross-country and track! Last year she got a lot of medals from the distance events. She is going out with Charlie. They are so cute together. Today, she is wearing a skirt with flowers on it and a gray shirt with a big black flower on it. She is also wearing blue earrings! She wears her hair down all the time, even in gym. She has a policy that they do not try hard in gym because she does not like sweat. So they wear there hair down in gym no matter what. Lily is such a good friend! She is so awesome and such a good friend!! We always do our projects together in technology!!! I love you Lily!!

Basketball Team!!!

I made the 8th grade basketball team!  I found out at 5:30 last Thursday! It is Ally, Jordan, Bre, Sara, Keemonie, Sydney, Allison, Ashley, Morgan, Becah, and me! We have practice every day untill 5pm. We also run 8,6,4,2's which is were u run 8 down and backs then 6 down and backs then 4 down and backs then so on. Practice for the most part is really fun. We have fun times, but on some days we get yelled at and have to run more. We also have practice on Saturdays. Yesterday we got out early because of Halloween. Which was really exciting.  We also got our jerseys, shorts, and warm-up shirts. I am number ten. Wish us luck!!!
