100 Dollor Plus

The whole 100 dollar limit idea for Christmas to me sounds a little weird. For the time of giving, and giving to your loved ones for that matter, you should spend at least more than 100 dollars on them and their presents. Just to show love to one another, it's best to give high quality gifts instead of cheap ones. I know not everyone has money, but still, why not save? I know this for certain that the recent consoles that have been released have been very high priced. Why get a console? Well for one it gives the loved one something nice, but it also allows quality time with one another. Wouldn't that be nice? Having good times with one another? I know there might be other ways, and cheaper ones, but a new console is probably best.

Turtles In Time

The golden era of video games were around the 1980's and early 90's. The best ones you could play though cost money or tokens at arcades or restaurants. The most popular one by far is probably Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles the arcade game. Oh the depression children would go through when they had to leave, and they knew that their parents could not afford a $2500.00 arcade machine. Then, when all hope was lost for who we now know as pro retro games, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV Turtles in Time was released for the super Nintendo. Besides some audio and visual difference, someone smart at Nintendo headquarters brought heaven to people's consoles at home.

Frosty Strikes

For what seemed to be a "perfect snow day", I couldn't help myself to feel a certain darkness in the air that winter morning. Being older i have lost most interest in playing in the snow but still enjoy watching the neighborhood children have a good day. I sat outside until i had run out of coffee. So, as I was about to go inside I heard a moan, than a scream of pain. I turned around to see that one of the children snowmen have bit his leg! Of course I wasn't getting involved. So I barricaded myself. And watched as each snowman gets bigger and bigger. Not to mention the one who had a sock cap on. He was the scariest. His mouth was full of teeth, and I realized...he was starting at me.

Double HoHo Seven

After I noticed my missing decorations I knew what I was to do. That night, I climbed out onto the roof of my house. The cold winter air and the black sky of December set a fitting scene. I used and wire gun and shot the chimney. What could go wrong? I used the wire and jumped inside the chimney. Only to be greeted with my pal Santa. We sat down and talked, but i had a job to do. As soon as he left I went into the old neighbors bedroom. Now, I wasn't creeping. I sent knock out gas into the room, took back my ornaments and left. Once I put up my own ornaments back to their rightful place, I went inside for some homemade masochist Mountain Mew.

Stop and Think

I get in situations where I just need alittle more time to really understand what's going on. If only I had a stop button. What would I do with a stop button? I would use it only for emergancies or to think. If I was in a situation like I just stated, I would just sit and think about what is going on. If only, If only I had a pause button.

Real Gamers

What is a real gamer? Well, a real gamer is someone who really can play a game, get it's purpose, and enjoy it for what it is. There are not many gamers left in this gameing world, but I do not believe that this cannot change. I, being one of the last true gamers, want to put a stop to this. Your Xbox's and PS's are okay and all. But go play Pokemon or Kirby or something. Something real. Nintendo knows what its doing, so listen to it. Then you can be a true gamer.

Day Off

I deserve a day off from school because stress is begun to take control of my mind, and I cannot focus like I used to in my classes. A day off, lets say a Wednesday, would give me a much needed opportunity to get my assignments done. Also with the extra 24 hours given i can catch up on AR and social activities that we all "desperately need". I think that if we get the day off, then the adults and children of Festus would be very pleased.

The Best Book I Ever Read...

The best book i have ever read was Michel Vey. This book isn't as respected by other people for some reason, but i have a feeling i know why. This book had a grasp on my mind and eyes, because for the first time reading a book i felt like i had to finish it as soon as possible. This book was flat out amazing and i loved every Minuit of it. I strongly suggest Michel Vey andhe rest of it's trilogy.

Rust Bucket

My friends and I have been known for being stupid. Not the bad kind, the awesome kind. The kind where you're walking from band practice and you spot a shopping cart out in the street. My friends and I saw this as a opportunity to be stupid. So we took the cart and went on, being stupid like usual. We rode on and on and didn't care about a thing in the world. Until we crashed by the beach. We brushed the sand off us and went home, never seeing the cart we lost on the beach, ever again.

Three Hands Needed

My favorite type of controller is the one from the Nintendo 64. It is a odd model, but serves its purpose well and really comments with the shape of the console. The Nintendo 64 controller is a gaming controller that is stabled by its three branching grips each having their own set of buttons. The middle is the analog stick used for moving. where the three branches meet there is a start button, and on the right and left we have either a d pad or the normal buttons. This was very odd seeing the controller first time, and it led me to ask myself, "Three branches? How am i going to use this?" Well, like everything in video game history its all about skill.

The Laughing Matter

I'm sitting here, laughing, knowing that these fools, including my own family, cannot see the truth. My siblings probably think that I have gone insane, but I haven't. My mother thinks I'm a stranger that just appears to resemble her son, but I'm not. My father isn't here due to the cold hard fact that he doesn't care. They asked me what I was doing in the gas station, and I responded with,"I'm just doing the right thing. It could have been worse if the cops hadn't showed up." I'm not telling them that me and my friend broke through the glass to stop a robber who saw the red white and blue lights and fled the scene. I'm not telling them, because they already know I didn't do it. It's all just a laughing matter.

Pumpkin Slaughter

Evil Pumpkin T
Add caption
It was a week before Halloween, and kids everywhere where going to get their pumpkins. They carved them and left them to go to more important matters...Leaving the jack o lanterns alone. Days have passed and their depression grew worse. After a week later due to the anger and depression inside the abandoned pumpkins, rotting away and not having any purpose. So their objective was clear. Before they rot, they will carve as many children as possible, for wasting the pumpkins lives.  That is why I am hiding. I'm scared. Where am I going to go? There going to find me, I just know it.

Gamecube...Bad or Good?

The GameCube has always been picked on for being a bad console, but to be honest I think its one of the best consoles since the snes. The only thing that people see is graphics. I look at the general game play. That's why people don't like it, because people don't want to actually play the game. They don't want to experience the world that they are trying be sucked into. Im just sick of the picking on the gamecube.

The scale

Everyone knows what a scale is. It's a device that is used to measure weight. Why is everyone so worried about weight. Its a problem, because I'm loosing a friend because of weight. People shouldn't try so hard to get to a supermodel figure. Being healthy is all I ask for but some people just try and try which is making me feel like I'm not helping as much as I can. All I have to say really is this, if you're healthy that's all that matters.

The Face

The face wasn't weird, but it gave me this very cold feeling in my spine. I felt like running away and I looked back out the window. "Go! Dude you're being a creep." He just kept staring at me. I looked out the next day and he was still there. I walked outside to find out that it was just a dummy set by my brother.

Bottle of a Remembered Dream

That night, that dream, that strange understanding of the environment. The biggest thing about that dream that I like to bottle up and witness again was the end. I was falling to my death, but I wasn't afraid. I saw the bottom, but wasn't falling to it. I grabbed a branch that was hanging as I fell. And then I reached down to help a man and a woman, then I was crushed and awaken by a falling bolder. I'd open the bottle every night before I go to sleep. I'd be left with that, strange, confusion  that I haven't experienced ever sense that dream when i open it, being trapped in a glass prion that we call just the bottle.

Going Retro

Ever played a SNES? Of course you haven't. That's because people like me do a type of gaming style called going retro. Going retro means that you play video games from the past. These games usually don't sell in stores anymore and are only sold at special stores. The newest addition to the retro gaming family has been the Nintendo GameCube. The NGC has been known for supporting one hundred fifty Artificial Intelligence all at the same time. This was a big step for Nintendo, but the system was taken off the shelves when The Wii was released. Going retro is fun, and it gives you the opportunity for inspiration.

Learning About the Veteran's

I feel like that having school on veteran's day can be and is a good decision that our school district makes. But why do we not go to school on martin Luther king Jr.day? Well I believe that we don't go home on veterans day because if some of the kids go home to them it's just another day off. having school that day reminds you what the day really is about. That's my opinion why we should go to school on veterans day.

Yee hee slumber of death

As we all know, Michel Jackson died a few years back. But what was the cause? Well now we have one last clue to explain his death. A nurse lost it in court and spilled the beans telling the court that MJ was overdosing sleeping pills. So we know what happened. But court is still in session, so there is more to come.

CEO and Lead Director of Nintendo
0101 Sonic Lane
Hollywood, CA 8907

Dear Mr.CEO and Lead Director:

It has come to my attention that the ideas on some of the recent games for Nintendo have been very weak. I'm you average teenage boy whom is very fond to Nintendo and its games. But when was the last time you had a good game? 2008? 2006 even? I don't even remember, but I want you to start making new and better games than in the past view years. There are so many ways to do so but all I see is a turd after a turd. And to believe that you used to make good games.
Now I understand that an idea is hard, and can most of the time be harder to make. But I see Microsoft making games that I know Nintendo is more than capable of overpowering. Use the Xbox's many games that they seem to have no problem making. Here's a good idea, instead of making bad Mario games, invest some money and buy back Rare Ware! Think about it, some of the best games Nintendo's  ever made were helped by rare ware. That's it.That's all that I believe Nintendo needs to do to get all it's players back.

Sincerely Yours,

Nolan Buehler

The SNES

It was a cold October morning when I got this letter. There was no return address and it wasn't signed. I wondered in amazement as I asked myself how this got through the post without these key requirements. As a scanned the paper i discovered a not on the backside. it read "Sorry for this, but you need to go and break open your Super Nintendo." I was shocked. The super Nintendo was my first system, but I broke it knowing it was already on its last leg.Inside was a unfamiliar  machine and a note. "Sorry for the secrecy but it is necessary. Nolan, it's me Austin. I've messed up big time. I need you to use this machine to create 2 things that can help you on your way with your mind. I'm in a unknown prison. Yet I did make a locator. Shouldn't take too long right? Good luck." I knew my objective and with my Mind created a magic pencil and a Super Nintendo Controller capable of transforming into any weapon I can imagine.

About Technology

So I had Technology class for a whole semester and there were definitely some highs and lows of the class. Some lows were having those vocab. sentences along with our definitions. Also I didn't like how you could help us as much. I completely understand why, but it just kinda stunk. Some high of the class were doing the movie maker projects. My favorite project was the lyrics video. If I had movie maker I would make a lyric video at home. I'm going to miss you next year and good luck with everything.

Oh Today...

I can already tell that today is not going to be a good day for me. I have barely any energy, a massive headache, and I woke up late and almost missed the bus. I hate days like these I hope this allergy pill doesn't knock me out. The thing is I got plenty of sleep, but I feel exhausted. I really hope my terrible morning can turn into the best afternoon in my life... Oh my goodness this headache is awful. In the inside I feel like this-- AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! More Flags, More Fun!

CoasterGallery.com -- Six Flags St. Louis

Today is my last Festus Middle School Choir field trip. It is going to be great I am so excited to go sing then go ride all the rides at Six Flags!! Last year when I went I had so much fun. Even though Hurricane Harbor isn't open, it doesn't matter because the first ride I want to ride is the BATMAN! I love the Batman that is my favorite ride. I am going to try to keep my eyes open during rides and maybe even through my hands up in air. Ha, we'll see about that last one! Let's bring it Festus.

Little Pine Tree...

Temperate Rainforest
Oh hello there little pine tree. What a sweet little thing you are. I am going to call you Scout. So listen up little Scout beacuse I'm about to tell you about Christmas. Christmas is a wonderful time of hapiness and joy because Jesus has just been born. He lived in a little stable with all kinds of animals. On Christmas you celebrate by hanging up trees in your home. That is where you will be one year, on a tree watching kids play, have fun in the snow, and more. You will enjoy it so much that you won't be able to wait for next Christmas. I know you will love the family you'll be put with. Good luck and have fun!

Seven Doors..or One??

If there were seven identical doors in front of me with different worlds inside, I would choose the Neverlands. I would choose the Neverlands because I would be able to stay young; have no stress. I could chill out or have fun all day, but then of course I would go back home into my world at night. I would be living the dream, flying, swimming, anything! Who wouldn't want that? I know for sure I would choose the Neverlands for the door I would enter because I would also get to meet Tinkerbell and Peterpan and their crew. See you in the Neverlands.

The Time I Got a Song Stuck in my Head...

Okay, so this one time (today) I got a song stuck in my head. The song was "It's Friday" by Rebecca Black. Coincidentally, today is Friday and I can't get the song out of my head because the tune is so catchy. Ugh! It all started right before class when a person decided to start singing it. I'm not going to names, but *cough* *cough* *back row*. Anyways, now this song is going to be stuck in my head for the rest of the day! So, beware because it's Friday, Friday, gotta get down on Friday. Party and Party! Yeah! Lookin' forward for this to end.

I Can't Take It Anymore!!!

Okay, I seriously can't take it anymore!! My allergies are driving me CRAZY! I can't sleep, I have a track meet every other days so my eyes won't heal, and I have E.O.C.s today and tomorrow. This morning when I woke up I couldn't breathe out of my eyes or nose. Um, scratch that I meant MOUTH or nose. Anyways, these allergies suck. At least I can't give them to anyone. I can't wait til' summer because they aren't half as bad as they are during April and May. I hope I can get through this day especially since I have some chores after I get home from track practice; which better be inside today. Well here's to a terrible day.

Wait Can We Please Take a Rewind...

Have you ever wanted to go back to a time in your life because I have. I would go back to the time when life WAS easy and NOT complicated. I would  go back to when every one in my family was actually living, and there wasn't any fighting in parts of the family. It's not fair every thing used to work out fine and then one day you grow up and it all just goes away. I miss my family members so much. Even just one day where everything was relaxed and having fun at the country would be fine. It would be.....perfect.

My New Track Event

Today I have a meet at Windsor. The meet is only relays, so in the field events there are three people in each school instead of two. I am so excited because I get to do triple jump. Triple jump is like long jump, but harder on your back and legs. I can't wait to do this event because this is the first time this year that Festus will be doing triple jump. I hope I do a really good job, especially because this isn't a practice meet. If I do well, then my coach will probably let me do it again. Let's go Festus! And good luck to everybody!(:

I Deserve a Day Off from School..

I think that I derseve a day off of school. Why, you ask. Well I would like sleep in for once. I alsmost never get to sleep in. I think the whole middle school should be off without the elementary. Then I wouldn't have any responsibilities besides sleeping. I also would like a day off school because I would be able to eat during the time I would be having 6th hour (gym). I also would like a break from algebra, I can't take it anymore!! Therefore, I deserve a day off fromk school! Thank you.

First Real Track Meet (not a practice one)

Today is my very first real track meet, meaning it's not a practice meet. I will be running the open mile. This makes me feel a lot better because this doesn't count for points for your team. In the open mile we still get medals even though we won't get any points. I'm okay with that because on my first practice I was so scared and there wasn't even any points or medals. I am super nervous and excited about today's meet. I hope everyone does a good job. Wish my team and me good luck!(:

If I Were President...

iotacons: The Presidents of the United States of America
If I were president I would make abortion illegal. I would do that because if you think about it, you are murdering human beings. I would also make a rule/law were girls/women could have their own football team like in the NFL, but it would be called the WNFL. If I were president I would eat ice cream and popcorn all day. Also, when I wasn't working I'd be in my indoor pool in the  White House. Any free time I got: ZI would use. So in my four years of being president I WOULD do all the above.

My First Track Meet

Today is my very first tack meet. I am so so nervous, even though it is a practice meet. I'm afraid I don't know what I'm doing. I hope I don't get disqualified for not staying in my lane. I am also very excited because I have never done this before. I know it's nothing like a cross country meet, but that's okay. I can't wait to run my 800 (two laps) and do long jump. The thing is I am not as prepared for long jump as I am for the 800. I feel like I could learn a whole lot more about long jump. Through all my nerves/nervousness I can honestly say I am thrilled to be in the first meet.

My Inner Self...

I think about other people's feelings a lot, but never mine enough. When I am just lying there on my bed with no homework, no chores, and no stress and just think about I look towards other people. I think if what I am doing is an appropriate time or if I should do that act at a different time. I think if I am being a good/positive influence on people or a negative one. I think about all the ways I could be a better person. I think about what I should the next day in my life. I think, I think, and I think some more, and when life gets tough I try to get myself up off the ground.

The First Time I went to Blue Owl

In October my friend took me to Blue Owl for the first time. It was really fun trying all the samples of different flavored ice cream. I enventually chose the cookie dough and it was DELICIOUS! I loved sitting there hanging out with my friend. She had told me that it was about her third time coming to Blue Owl. After that her step-mom drove me home and I told her thank you so much for everything. Then I had told my mom and dad all about my trip to Blue Owl.

I have just awoken from my sleep. Where am I? What's going on? Could it be? Yes! There before me stands Mary, God, my Papa, Uncle Raymond, sister Sammy, and great Uncle Mike!! I am freaking out. My sister is the most beautiful angel there is with big beautiful glowing wings. God has decided that Papa and Uncle Raymond are going to give me the tour. Wow! Everywhere I look I'm speechless. I'm going to be here for all eternity. Then I'm thinking...should I ask them? Okay I thought and I did. How hard was it to be departed from your family?

Technology This Quarter

This quarter I'm technology was fun. It wasn't hard like people said. I was never really behind on any projects     or on typing web. I really like the project we are on now. It was  fun making different fonts and colors for different words. On the other hand, the research project was kind of boring only because of all the citing we had to do. Other than that I liked that project too. I like when we do timed typing tests because it helps me with my speed accuracy. However, I did not like the vocabulary or making sentences with the vocabulary in it. For the most part I liked this class.(:

Cosmic Bowling

Over the summer I went cosmic bowling with my friend. I would usually use the bumpers, but it was crowded and they didn't have those lanes open. So my friend and I had to bowl without them. I knew that I wasn't going to get a good score so I would try different things like granny rolling, putting spin on the ball, eyes closed, etc. The thing is that all of those things were working and I had 3 strikes(not in a row)! On the other hand, my friend who was a slightly better bowler than me wasn't doing very good. All in all, we had a great time and I spent the night at her house afterwards.

Summer..

Best friends | Publish with Glogster!
I am looking forward to summer this year. I can't stand the wait. I will get to do so many more things then last summer. Plus I wasted half my summer trying to hang out with who I THOUGHT was my best friend last summer. I shut out all my true friends for her. By the end of the summer, I finally realized who my true friends were. I guess you can say I matured quite a bit over the summer. I am happy because this summer I will be hanging out with the friends the MATTER.

My Allergies

One day around spring time, in sixth grade, I woke up and felt terrible. She was still sleeping because she doesn't get up til seven. I went to her bedroom and told her I didn't feel good at ALL. She asked me what hurt and I said every thing: my eyes, throat, headache, and I just felt weak. She said that doesn't sound good we will go to urgent care later. When we got to urgent care they told me that I barely had a fever, didn't have strep throat, and they told me for the first time I had ALLERGIES! That's when we knew I needed to take daily allergy pills.

My New Room

One day, near my birthday, I told my mom what I wanted for my birthday. I told her I wanted to get my room redone. She said, "What do you mean?" I replied, "Everything from color to beanbag." She told me that we would do it after my birthday and told me to ask my family for the things I wanted. I told them a rug, green wall, little green tables, lava lamp, and all sorts of things. About a week later my mom told me she would paint my room and redecorate it, but only if I helped. It only took us about two to three days and we were done. I told my mom thank you and love you. She said love you and happy birthday.

When I go sledding..

One time, on a snowy cold-winter day I went sledding with my little sister. We have a big hill in our backyard that we sled in anytime it snows. But then it occured to me, why don't we go on the bigger hill which is nobody's land. My sister said that that would be fun. So that's what we did. We had gone down a few times then I picked a spot to make my own path. As I was going down I hit a HUGE bump right on my TAILBONE! Ouch!! I told my sister not to go down that way and go down one more time so we could go inside. I was limping around and walking slowly all day the next day.

The Memory

If I could keep any memory bottled up and be able to look at it whenever I wanted, it would be when I was a little girl and my grandpa would take me for rides on his bulldozer. I would always sit on his lap as he drove it around and sometimes he would let me "steer". I loved when we hung out all day outside while my grandma was sitting in the gazebo watching us. I helped my grandpa do all the outside work or would simply just watch. When he worked on car at his garage I would watch him and hand him the tools. One day I helped him make a concrete back portch and  my hand hit it while it was wet. He left it there to stay; forever.

The Time I Went to Church Camp

Over the summer I went to church camp that was four hours away. It was super fun. I got closer in my religion and faith while having the time of my life. Every morning we would learn about our religion, and then in the afternoon we would have free time. During free time we could go to the canteen to get a snack, go swim in the pool, boting on the lake, zipline into the lake, and go down a very bumpy waterslide. Also there was something called the Blob. What happens on the blob is someone is at the far end of the giant blown up blob laying down and someone else jumps off a ten foot ledge on to the other side of the blob so the person laying down goes flying into the air then the lake.

I think Martin Luther King day is just as important because people with a darker skin color were fighting for thier lives each and everyday. I think we have school on veterans day because none of us can or have already fought in a war therefore, as kids we wouldn't think it was a big deal. (Not all kids.) I we are off on MLK day we should be off on veterans day too.

The Woman Who Couldn't Stop Growing

I just read an interesting article online. It was about how a runway model caught a disease that made her taller AND gain weight. It ruined pretty much her body and life. She died Monday at a young age of only 34. Before she was diagnosed she was 5' 8" and after her death she was 7' 2". She was around 400 pounds by her death. She couldn't walk and had one meal per day. I feel really bad for this woman and her family. I hope eventually doctors can find a cure for this horrible disease. Here is the article:

Baby Sitting

I love little kids. They are so adorable and cute. I like when they try to do things like you; like eat all your food and wash your hands. When my family gets together for a party I'm usually the one watching the younger one, but I don't mind. I enjoy babysitting. I can't wait until ninth grade because I will be able to babysit four different kids. Baby sitting can be hard at times, but I enjoy a little challenge. I say that it's always a challenge until the are sleeping!

Dear Mrs. DeBolt:

I love basketball and cross country. They are my two favorite sports. I enjoy basketball because of the adrenalin pumping through me. I love to pass, shoot, and dribble all day long. I love cross country because too me; it's a stress reliever. I feel like the faster I go the more I will get out of myself. Cross-country can be tough at times, but I always find a way to release all of my stress.

I also love my friends and family. They love and support me with whatever I choose to do. They're there when my confidence collapses and just when I need someone to be with me. I feel that all of my friends and family could/would take a bullet for me. When I'm late for the bus stop my parents will always try to catch up with it. They will always love them unconditionally; like I will them.

Something I enjoy in school is Technology class. I had it for only one quarter last year, but this year I have it for a full semester! I enjoyed having projects with PowerPoint and paint. The typing is fine, but some days my hands just aren't very coordinated this early in the morning. That's why I liked having computers 7th hour. I look forward to having Technology for the rest of the year.

                                                                                                                        Sincerely,

Letter From an Ex-Friend

I received a letter from my ex-best friend  today. She is now in prison and I am really scared. She told me not to tell anyone, but I know this needed to be informed. She is basically blackmailing me. What's even worse is we used to be really good friends. Although we were good friends, my mom said she was a bad influence on me, so I wasn't aloud to hang out with her or talk to her. I am very thankful my mom told me to do that or else I would probably be in prison too.
